A wooden cutting board handcrafted from a Peruvian Walnut and African Beli wood, by the nuns.  The board is carefully sanded to a silky smooth finish, then it is generously oiled with a food grade, non-toxic mineral oil.  This finish is perfectly safe to use for all your entertaining delicacies.  Once you open your package at home, you can immediately use the cutting board as it does not require any further treatment or curing.  It is easily cleaned with a damp cloth.  Do not soak your board in water, so as not to cause any warping.  With use the board may show signs of wear.  To make it look just like new, your wooden board can be treated with a gentle rubbing of food grade mineral oil to bring it back to a beautiful luster.  The size is approximately 9 1/2 inches by 16  inches and 3/4 inch thick.  As each board is individually handcrafted and is made from natural wood, each piece will vary slightly in size and there will be color variations.
